How to get technical support for APLX for Windows, MacOS and Linux (paid version)If you are encountering any problems with APLX, please first ensure that you are running the most up-to-date version (see below). If you are running APLX Version 4.1.0 or earlier, MicroAPL strongly recommends that you upgrade to 4.1.3 since a number of important bug fixes are incorporated in the new release. If the problem persists, please use our on-line form to tell us about it. APLX for WindowsThe current release of APLX for Windows is Version 4.1.3, released 24th April 2008. (See the APLX Download page if you are running an earlier Version 4 build.) The latest Version 3 release of APLX for Windows is Version 3.2.2 released 24th May 2007. (See the APLX Download page if you are running an earlier Version 3 build.) Running APLX under Windows VistaTM To run APLX under Windows Vista, you need APLX for Windows Version 3.2 or later. In addition to an updated APLX program, Version 3.2 include a new APLX font (aplx_unicode.ttf) and new Help files, all of which are essential under Vista. We therefore recommend that you first uninstall any previous copies of APLX (or APLX Demo Version) from your Vista machine. Before proceeding, make sure that there is no old copy of the APLX Upright font still installed on your system. Then install a complete fresh copy of APLX Version 3.2 or 4.1 from scratch. You will need a user account with Administrator privileges to install APLX. APLX for MacOSThe current release of APLX for MacOS is Version 4.1.3, released 25th April 2008. The latest Version 3 release of APLX for the Mac is Version 3.5.4 released 12th March 2007. This includes support for Intel-based Macintosh computers and also fixes some problems reported by users in earlier 3.5.x versions. Please note that APLX Versions 3.5 and later require Macintosh OS X Version 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard), and will not run under earlier versions of the Mac OS. APLX for Linux (paid version)The latest release of APLX for Linux is Version 4.1.3 released 25th April 2008. For information on supported distributions, or if you encounter any problems, please look at our APLX for Linux Support page first. If you need further help, please use our on-line form.
